This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are learning our numbers up to 200 and we need math tools to help us. The vehicle counters, the cubes, the buttons, and different colored chips will help us build strong math skills. The math tools will give us great hands-on practice with counting, adding, subtracting, finding patterns, and so much more.

We are using math tools like dice and domino games to give us the best math experiences.

It is a wonderful thing when students can use concrete materials to begin to understand concepts like addition and subtraction. The math tools also make learning fun and can give them some real life experiences with problem solving.

The donated items will allow students to have a classroom that gives them a variety of ways to learn all the things to be a successful first grader.
