This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is an ICT classroom consisting of special education, general education and English Language Learners. My students are having a very hard time completing their math classwork and homework in the workbook this year. Although we use videos from the math program, we need more help. The students need scaffolds to help them complete their work.
These math manipulatives and magnetic boards will help build math skills by providing a hands on math experience with scaffolds.
The children can use these materials at home and in the classroom. We can use these materials whole group and when the students feel comfortable with a specific scaffold, they can take what they need and use it to help them complete a math problem.
