This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a diverse area, and my hard-working students come to school every day ready to learn. I love my students! They are hard-working, eager learners. They come from diverse backgrounds including various ethnicities and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. I use whole-brain teaching strategies in my classroom, so my students are constantly engaged in learning and sharing ideas with each other. I want my students to have all of the essentials they need to be able to love life every day.

My Project

Math is an important part of our day. Students are always so interested in learning in a hands on and collaborative way. I see a need for these math tool kits in my classroom. Letting every student have their own toolkit is going to be great for helping my students become more independent with their learning!

These boxes will help reinforce math concepts for my first graders!

Packed with manipulatives that align to major standards, the toolbox provides lots of hands-on experience with everything from counting and base 10 to comparing numbers and building shapes. These will be a great addition to my classroom!
