My students need materials such as binders, pencil pouches, card stock, and ID badge holders with lanyards to make Math Tool Kits that will keep whole group math time materials organized and easily accessible!

My Students

Kindergarteners are typically eager to learn and explore! This group is no exception. They love learning new things! My students are bright children who need to be challenged and enriched on a daily basis. They love to create and explore. I teach a lot of small groups during the day and strive to make school fun! My students are bubbling with excitement when they enter my classroom. By the end of the year I would like for all of my students to say that they love reading!

My Project

Help! The kids in my class need easy and quick access to math manipulatives to help deepen their mathematical understanding! Math can and does feel abstract to many children, and even adults. Math should be about exploring and figuring out. In order to give students resources to explore and make math less abstract, my students need math tool kits with "tools" to help them just as others have tools in their daily jobs. These kits will help keep our materials organized and easily accessible.

With these resources in our math tool kits, students will continue to explore math concepts in a hands-on way that will help math feel less abstract and help their mathematical reasoning continue to grow.

We will not have to waste part of our precious learning time passing out and collecting math materials each day. We will simply grab a tool kit and start exploring and learning!
