it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The work we do in this classroom is to build positive relationships, involving a partnership or group activities. We are working to build our school core value of PEACE: Perseverance, Enthusiasm for learning, Activism for social justice, Collaboration, and Empathy.

We are in district 9 in Bronx, New York. Over 90% of student population are Hispanic and about 10% of the students are black. About 40% are English Language Learners and about 25% are Students with Special Needs. Our school offers Dual Language Program for all grades to accommodate high hispanic student population.
My Project
Many students need math manipulative to solve challenging mathematical problems. I want to provide a math tool kit to every student in my class. It will include mathematical tools like rulers, counters, dice, reference sheets, ten frame and others that will help our students to use in school daily. Due to pandemic, we are making sure that all the materials are sanitized and ready to use. I am requesting more of the materials because I want to provide an opportunity for my students to take responsibility in taking care of the materials as well. I am planning to make the kit so my students can have access without waiting for a turn. They will keep a kit for themselves throughout the year.
