My Project
We currently do not have scientific calculators, or any calculators, to use for our Middle School students. The ability to check their work and see the numbers they're inputting is crucial for development and growth. Students have loved worked with ratios but as we move on to mean, median and mode it's important for them to check their work so they can see the input.
Our students are currently borrowing and sharing calculators.
This gives them the opportunity to do the work independently. As we prepare them for high school, it's imperative they have experience in using scientific and graphing calculators.
