Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Today, you can help be that change by donating to this project.
My students are some of the cutest 5 year olds you will ever see!
Unfortunately, they are growing up in world surrounded by poverty. Despite the hopelessness one might feel driving down the streets of their neighborhood, their smiles are bright! They love learning and math is one of their favorites! I like to think of our school as a pillar of light as both parents and students are inspired to work hard and dream big as they walk through our doors.
My Project
By donating to this project, you will help transform our math center time. Each day, the kids engage in a 45 minute math rotation. During this time, students work on basic skills (number sense, patterns, sorting, graphing, etc.). These centers help students build a strong foundation in math. Last year, all of my students tested above grade level in math. I am hoping for the same this year. These manipulatives will help and will give students opportunities to play and explore their learning at their own pace! By giving to this project you will be inspiring our youngest learners and setting the foundation of which they will build upon in the upcoming years!
We can't change the world in a day, but we can make a difference day by day.
Come be that difference! By donating, you will enrich the lives of kids that desperately need you. So many children hate math. Together, you and I can change that. These materials will make math fun! Just think of all the learning that will take place!
