This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Within our classroom, we are studying mathematics! It's hard to understand what you can't see! The dry erase boards and materials will help us to manipulate and explore new concepts with pieces that are right at our fingertips!

Not every student learns best sitting in a seat at a desk, and my students LOVE and NEED to move!

The dry erase boards will help us to move, collaborate and work together while focusing on the task at hand.

Their creativity and focus is limitless when they are able to move, stand up and discuss real world topics together. Especially after the past few years, every now and then, students just need to move! Move out of their seats, and out of their desks!

With a focus in schools always shifting to testing, it often puts pressure on students. We need to remember these kiddos are STILL KIDS! With the dry erase materials, students will be able to stand together to complete tasks. Recent studies have suggested that students standing together, working on a problem vertically (with stand up white boards) tend to be more engaged, more focused, and retain more information! By having these options for group work, students don't have to lose valuable class time. Students will be able to move within the classroom to help each other solve real world problems!
