My Students
Math can be scary and may sometimes seem pointless for some students! If only they had something they enjoyed doing to help them realized that math can be fun and that it is all around us. My goal is to provide stimulating games that will reinforce the concepts they are learning everyday in math.
My students come from a small rural community in Utah where a high percentage is Hispanic.
Our school is a small elementary school where most of the students receive free or reduced lunch because of the high poverty level. My students are all eager to learn and deserve the same education as students who attend schools in more affluent areas.
My Project
The resources I am requesting are a variety of games that use math and spatial reasoning skills. These math games are designed to encourage imagination while building fine motor skills. Not only will students practice math strategies to improve test scores, they will exercise their imaginations while learning valuable spatial reasoning skills.
So many of my students are "math-a-phobic".
My goal is to change how they think about math and to provide them with valuable learning experiences through exciting games. Your donation to my project will help to inspire more kids to love math!
