This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school, and I believe we have some of the hardest working students who are sometimes mislabeled. Many of my students come from single-parent or low-income families. Although some of the families cannot afford to enrich and expose their children with various opportunities, I believe that along with support from myself, our school and our community, this will not hinder them to excel. I witness them working very hard to meet goals and standards that are put in front of them each and every day.

My Project

We will use our Chromebook every day during our math and in afternoon tutorials. Currently we only have two Chromebooks that must be split among the students during workstation time and we currently have twenty-three students in the class. They are a great tool to let my kids learn independently and at their own pace. Chromebooks make learning much more fun for the kids since they get to use technology. They will be plugged in my classroom each day for my kids to use at any time. They will help my students to become more responsible for their own learning and their materials. It would also help them to improve their typing skills, and will engage them during science stations. Thanks in advance.
