This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a young and motivated teacher who strives to make my classroom the best place it can be for my students. I teach in a 1st grade general education classroom and have approximately 20 students altogether. I work at a wonderful school with great support.
My school district is introducing a new math program this upcoming year in which I am very excited about. However, I feel, in order to make it truly successful I need more technology resources to be able to use this program to the fullest.
If our classroom is able to get an LCD projector, the students will be able to see more of the program online and through CDs. I will be able to teach them how to use our classroom computer also so they can, by the end of the year, be independent with computers.
Research shows that all students learn in different ways. In having a projector, it will be just one more resource for students who are visuals learners to learn from.
