Math surrounds us and is vital to our every day life.
I teach a wonderful group of 4th grade students in a high poverty school in Arizona.
Many of our students receive free or reduced lunches and some live in poor conditions. They are bright students and want to learn while in school. These materials would be beneficial to their learning.
My Project
These math games will help students during independent center time. Games are a wonderful way to reinforce and even introduce new topics. Since these are interactive it makes learning more enjoyable for the students thus providing a better atmosphere. My students will learn basic facts such as multiplication, division, money, and fractions.
My project is important to me because these students deserve to be able to learn and enjoy school.
With budget cuts and the lack of spending into our schools, it can be difficult to provide a fun and engaging classroom that students are excited to be in.
