Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These resources will directly support our 6th-grade dual language learners in mathematics. Specifically, I'm seeking materials designed for instruction in both Spanish and English, ensuring that our students have equitable access to learning and can develop a strong mathematical understanding in both languages. This includes vocabulary resources and instruction supports in both Spanish and English. I believe these resources are crucial for fostering a truly bilingual learning environment where all students can thrive.
It's truly inspiring to see how these students are blossoming, not just in math, but in their overall understanding of the world.
They're becoming thinkers, problem-solvers, and communicators in two languages, and it's simply amazing to witness.
We need things like:
Bilingual workbooks or worksheets: that make math come alive in both English and Spanish.
I truly believe that by investing in these resources, we're investing in the future of these incredible young learners. We're giving them the tools they need to succeed, not just in math, but in life. I'm so passionate about this because I see the potential in each and every one of my students. I know that with your support, we can create a truly exceptional learning environment where they can thrive.
