Your donation has give my students a chance to learn how to fly drones. Many have never touched a drone before but were really wanting to learn how they work. My students and I have been working on our drone flying skills and are currently learning controls to be able to fly obstacle courses like those in drone competitions. The students are very excited about the drones and ask me when our next chance to fly them is. My 6th graders are especially into the drones. One of the 6th graders wants to fly drones to make videos and do light shows when they get older.\r\n\r\nThe other part of the donation was soldering kits and mini projects. These are a big hit and students in my tech club have been soldering together an LED Christmas tree. I have this young lady who is in tech club who is really into this project and has been working really well learning how to solder and connect electronics together. This is a real passion for her and she is always excited to come to club to work on this project. We are almost done with these and just in time for Christmas. My 8th graders who are doing this project are really doing well especially with having no experience in soldering or electronics before. One student completed it and has been showing it off to everyone he can. \r\nThe impact of your donation is inspiring my students to learn new things and get more into technology then they have before. I know that in the rest of the year students will continue to explore both the soldering and drones with enthusiasm and excitement.
