This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These supplies and resources will help me provide the resources from Teachers Pay Teachers, supplies, and other tools necessary for my third grade math students to be successful next school year. I will have two classes (approximately 25 students per class) and will need extra supplies in order to teach both units. Most of my students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds and don’t always have the means to pay for the basic supplies they need, such as folders and pencils to help them be proficient in class.

The students in my schools also do best with hands-on manipulatives, such as the fraction tiles and magnetic tens and ones to help them deepen their understanding of those concepts.

The use of the different colored paper will also allow them to easily know which graphic organizers they can use to help them solve different types of math problems. The other requested items will also make the classroom more inviting to the students, making them want to come to school to learn.

With your help, my student will be able to have the basics that they need so that they can be better mathematicians.
