Math Supplies for the Most SpEdtacular Students!

Help me give my students the opportunity to learn and track math using hands-on learning manipulatives as they are visual and tactile learners and this will give them each their own supplies.

My Students

My students are 4th grade Resource students. These kids are amazing. They have each been diagnosed with a learning disability that puts them 1 to 2 grade levels behind in Math. Add that to how Covid-19 has impacted them and you can see how they have really struggled this year. They learn the best using hands on techniques and learn the very best when they have actual manipulatives right in front of them. It can be very expensive to supply an entire class with their own set of manipulatives but it truly makes a difference. We have been learning to multiply and divide and are just beginning to learn fractions and they have struggled. I know having these extra math resources would make a huge difference.

My Project

Help me give my students the math supplies they need to be able to learn multiplication, division and fractions. They are all Special Education Students who go to HE, in rural Utah which is in the WSDS. They require different methods to achieve their goals. They are very visual and tactile learners and would be able to understand the equations they are solving, by having these hands-on math materials right in front of them. These would be huge in helping them pass off and track their math goals in each of their Individualized Education Plans. Thank you! They do the assignments using the manipulatives and then transfer their work to a white board and lastly we transfer to pencil and paper. The binders are to store and track their final assignment and probes.
