This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are super bright unique students that are eager to learn. My students have been learning Spanish as a second language since Kindergarten. Our school follows a 90/10 model. In Kinder, 90% of the classroom instruction they receive is in Spanish and 10% in English. By fifth grade, they receive instruction in both languages equally, 50% & 50%. Manipulatives can help bridge the learning gap due to language. This is where we need your support.
We need an accessible organization system to store and access math manipulatives.
We will create and sort bags with manipulatives for each student to use in my classroom.
