My students need math games like rainbow fraction tiles, unknown quantity cards and math activity and common core task cards to reinforce math skills in the classroom.

My Students

My classroom is very active and always learning. We have an open seat, open minded and open learning environment that my 25 students LOVE. We have all kinds of learning materials but are still in need of additional practice on math skills.

I have 25 students who LOVE to learn.

We are a high poverty school with lots of needs. They are fun to work with and also active in their learning. I like to give them choices and they like to make choices in their learning. They are really good kids but need extra support materials in math.

My Project

We will use these math supplies when we need additional practice on certain skills. Rainbow fraction tiles will come in handy when we start our lessons on fractions. Unknown quantity cards are good for learning properties of math facts, turn around facts, and associative properties. Quick pick math activity cards and common core math task cards will help solidify the skills that are being taught in the classroom. Some of my kids have gaps in their math knowledge and some of my students need additional practice on skills that they have mastered. In my math stations we have time for cooperative learning and these materials will foster these learning experiences.

My project will help to close gaps in math knowledge and reinforce other skills in math.

Math is important to have a good basis for future math learning and I want to fill in those gaps for my students before sending them on to future grades.
