This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking funding for snacks for students to have during after school tutoring. Many of my students don't come to tutoring because by the end of the day they are hungry. Our school is at a busy intersection and many students leave after school to get food before tutoring and it is unsafe for them to do so. Being able to provide students with snacks will keep them safe and encourage more kids to stay after school to get additional help.

When I provide snacks I see more students at tutoring and watch grades improve from the additional help.
