Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every morning we start off with our journals, which I'm hoping the iPad air will give us some technological support to making our presentations livelier. My students love to play chess, izzi and multiple brain games. I know they will love being able to enjoy a challenging game of Qbitz!
My students are wonderful gifted children in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
I am able to serve 5 different schools in my community and am privileged to see many different personalities daily. Since I am at a Title 1 school the kids need more exposure to technology, math, and science activities. Critical thinking is key to developing these young brains, and these products will help flourish that.
My Project
Qbitz is a great way to arouse their creativity, I plan on using it first thing in the morning to start off their day. We are currently studying archeology and the lenses are perfect to help our excavations and further research. The iPad air has multiple uses. There are apps available where the students can create their own movies, will be able to enjoy a challenging game of chess, sudoku and many more apps.
My students will experience using an iPad since this isn't an option for many of them at home.
They will develop a sense of ownership with their work and enjoy creating it in the process. During Qbitz students will be able to challenge their visual dexterity and race to the end against their classmates. This game uses both the right and the left brain and there are endless benefits to playing this game.
