This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is a school wide project to celebrate kindergarten through fifth grade scholars who have completed over 50 i-Ready math lessons or have reached their typical/stretch growth by the end of the school year. Our scholars are given a math diagnostic during the beginning of the year, to capture their strengths and weaknesses in four domains. Remedial or accelerated lessons are created based on the needs of each scholar. They have a number of points to attain by the end of the year to reach their grade level of proficiency or path to proficiency.
We want to excite our scholars with trophies and certificates for achieving their math goals and/or completing individualized lessons, which in turn help to increase their diagnostic results by the end of the year.
An assembly will be held to acknowledge how proud we are of their accomplishments by rewarding them with trophies and certificates for their great efforts. It would be awesome to have a certificate or reward for everyone who reached their goal. Throughout the year we have been monitoring lessons to encourage scholars to continue on their path to success. Now it’s time to show that hard work pays off! Help us to increase the excitement of learning with rewards for recognition!
