My students need fun math games to play during math class and inside recess!
This project expired on May 3, 2011.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Children learn best by playing! I would love for my students to have the opportunity to enjoy learning math by playing games!
My students are a wonderful group of fourth graders that attend a small school within a small city school district.
The school is comprised of a wide range of economic backgrounds. My class of fourth graders also represent a wide range of academic levels.
Teachers get a yearly budget for supplies such as tape, staples, stickers, name tags, certificates, etc. Very little is left for extras like pre-made math games. It would mean so much to my present and future students to have a supply of exciting math games to play during math and inside recess.
This is a wonderful way to show children that learning math goes beyond pencil and paper or playing games by themselves on a computer.
This is a chance to play math games in a cooperative group with their classmates. It is also a chance to show children that math is fun!
