This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Who doesn't love listening to a great picture book? Picture books are a great way to introduce math concepts to students.
These picture books were picked to go along with a variety of different math concepts.
These books will be used to tie in our building thinking math tasks that students do around the classroom. I would use these books to present concepts that then lead to an activity that students work in pairs to solve. These books not only would be used in my class but can be shared with my first-grade team.
