My Project
My 5th grade students are working hard to get ready for their end-of-grade (EOG) tests—and I want to make our math review engaging, hands-on, and full of energy! With this project, I’m asking for interactive games, calming tools, and motivational snacks to help reduce test anxiety and boost excitement for learning.
My goal is to turn test prep into something they actually look forward to.
What We Need:
Lights and Sounds Buzzers (Set of 4): Perfect for game-show style review competitions!
Math 24 Game: A fast-paced mental math game that builds fact fluency and problem-solving.
Fraction War Card Game: Reinforces fraction comparison and equivalency in a fun, partner-friendly format.
“I Have, Who Has…” Math Sets: Great for whole-class engagement and review of key math standards.
Fidgets & Chair Bands: To help students who need movement and sensory input during testing and review.
Individually Wrapped Snacks: Keeps energy up and provides comfort during long testing sessions.
Motivational Supplies: Stress balls, stickers, and small tokens for a “Test Survival Kit.”
As we gear up for EOGs, many students begin to feel anxious or overwhelmed. These resources will allow me to review key math concepts in creative and memorable ways. They will offer sensory supports to help students stay calm and focused.
This project will create a positive, encouraging environment that celebrates effort and progress.
All students Wii feel prepared and confident.
This project supports academic growth and emotional wellness. By combining review games with stress-reducing tools, I’m meeting my students where they are and helping them shine. Whether they’re mastering fractions in a card game or buzzing in during a math showdown, they’ll be learning and loving it!
