My Project
As a teacher, I’m never done learning. I am always looking for new ideas and areas to improve my practice. I’m always striving to meet my students where they are, engage them in the learning, and help them to reach their greatest potential.
I’m requesting a couple of books to improve my instruction in math so that students are more fluent with their math facts, critical thinkers and evaluators, feel comfortable explaining their ideas with the class, able to kindly challenge others, willing to risk making mistakes and revise their thinking.
I’m also requesting a book on hosting morning meetings since our admin team has made this more of a school-wide priority and I have not had any training on it. The morning meeting book has lots ideas for greetings, activities, kid sharing, and morning messages to help create a warm, welcoming, morning routine.
