Help me give my students an orderly classroom with predictable routines and well-defined space; the calendar math activities and the modern manuscript reference nameplates with measurement, number line, and 100 chart references will do the trick!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My incoming second graders are my inspiration. They are the students I saw in the hall last year, they are the younger sisters and brothers of my previous group. They are energetic, curious, creative, and bright. They work hard and learn more every day.
They deserve a beautifully organized classroom to come to every school day.
The majority of my students are English Language Learners, a literacy-rich classroom will promote their language development.
Our school is beautiful and the surrounding neighborhood is charming. It is a special place for children who love coming here. Our school families are committed to the academic achievement of all of our students.
My Project
This lovely math calendar will provide us with a morning routine that will help students become proficient in basic math concepts that are essential to their success. The nameplates will allow students to have well defined personal space, and they will have an immediate reference for writing and for math.
Second graders need an orderly environment and a predictable school day.
These materials will help me to provide my students with both. Organization tools like the magnetic boxes for the whiteboard will allow me, their teacher to stay focused and organized, to maximize instructional time.
