This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Math is all around us. Everyday we are faced with solving some type of mathematical problem. My students don't understand how important learning math is. We need these materials so the students can experience math.
Most of my fifth grade students face the burden of poverty.
Why should they have to go to a school who is facing the same challenges? Living and going to school in Allentown, Pennsylvania is hard enough. Let's try to make their experience in school easier.
My Project
Providing students with these resources will allow my students to gain a better understanding of mathematical concepts. These students need manipulatives and visuals so they can fully examine the concepts during guided math. It is a proven fact that students learn more when they have things to manipulate the problems.
Please help these students learn math.
We need these materials so the students can gain a better understanding of math. Math is all around us, therefore it is important for students to master these concepts.
