Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The students I will be working with are in grades sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. They always need certain items to be successful. The headphones will help them work on their assigned I-Ready math and I -Ready reading goals as well as state test that they are required to take.

New pencils and erasers are very important especially in a math classroom.

The kids should not need to worry about being able to bring new supplies to school . If we are able to get funded this will take stress of of our parents and kids so that the students can just show up and focus on their learning and learning goals. The students will benefit from random supplies such as tape so that I can hang their work up on the walls and the wall hooks will also be a way to hang up student created work such as math projects and a math word wall.

The students are very special to me and I can not wait for them to be surprised to start the year with new supplies. We are always willing to share with other teachers as well.
