My Students

Our campus is a Title I campus with 98% of the population qualifying for free or reduced price lunch. We want our students to value their education, while enjoying our hands-on learning approach at our school. Our campus strives to motivate students who have disadvantages, based on the poverty level surrounding them.

It is our goal at our school to give our students an outstanding education that allows them to succeed in their adult life.

I am honored and privileged to motivate our students to dream big, go to college, and make a difference in today's society.

My Project

The students I work with daily struggle with math concepts.

These students have decided at a very young age that math is too hard.

All of my students receive math intervention with the use of an iPad and a specialized program to help them fill in math gaps. All of these students are at least a year to two years behind in math.

These students need to use hands-on manipulatives to help them learn with the iPads, and the programs will have every manipulative they need at their fingertips. I believe the best way to teach students is by allowing them to learn however they will receive the information the best. Let's face the facts: kids learn through technology. In using these iPads, the students will become confident and successful in math.
