My Project

I am a math intervention teacher in a Title 1 school for grades 3rd-5th. I work with all 3 grade levels in small groups throughout the day to build math skills and engage learners in higher level thinking, collaboration and technology.

I want students to view math as a puzzle to be solved so they are not afraid of getting a wrong answer, but more so look at problems as a puzzle to work through.

Games and online resources help students to build collaboration skills to use in and out of school. The organization pieces allow easy access for students for what they need without taking time from their learning. They learn to organize and be respectful of materials. With the appropriate puzzle pieces in place, the students and I can work together and learn from each other to build a supportive, engaging classroom! With games, organization for collaboration and technology, students can find success in themselves and their peers!
