My Students

Being from a small town like Piedmont, Alabama there are not a lot of options for my students to choose from. Piedmont City Schools have provided a safe haven for the students in our community. The students deserve a chance to be able to find out where they are struggling in our curriculum.

A large amount of my students are from a low socioeconomic backgrounds.

They are struggling with being provided with certain necessities for their daily lives. The school they attend is seventy percent free and reduced lunches, but we have the privilege of implementing a 1:1 Macbook initiative.

My Project

In our small town in Alabama, unfortunately we have experienced many small town businesses closing their doors. There are no incentives for industries to take route in our town. With the implementation of Moby Max our students will be able to actively engaged in the curriculum. With this website students will be able to access math, writing, reading, and language activities off of the web. It will also monitor their progress and allow me to adjust their individualized learning plans. This website will give me the ability to find missing skills, adapt lessons to each student and motivate them to learn. I hope to see their test scores increase as a result of this website.

Although these students are from a privileged school, they are still at-risk of falling between the cracks.

By being able to access this program, the students will gain the momentum and drive to experience success in school as well as daily life.
