My Project

In my low-income rural school, where I teach first graders, there are no math manipulatives in my class. I have to borrow from surrounding teachers. It is most important to use manipulatives when teaching math.

Students learn best with hands-on activities, especially adding and subtracting!

Learning for the first time about place value, adding and subtracting, and manipulatives are a must! Every student should be able to have their own set of manipulatives to use during instruction. This makes things more clear to them and helps the teacher with teaching! Please help me give my students the great opportunity of having hands-on materials.
