My Students
I'm a teacher in a low-income, Title I school, and the kids need a lot. The students are faced with many challenges daily, either at home if they don't have food to eat or at school with daily challenges. My class is full of 20 loving, eager, and caring students.
My students have many challenges at home which I can not control, but I can control the situation at school.
The students grow so much in a year academically and socially. I am so excited to start this next part of the year with these wonderful students.
My Project
Allowing the students to have hands math manipulatives will enable them to close the learning gap they have had through this pandemic. The students will each get aboard and they can write and add math tools to help support their learning.
All students will be able to show written words or equations during math time.
This will allow me to view students' progress and mastery while on Zoom or also while in the classroom setting.
Having students on Zoom and the classroom can be challenging, this will allow me to see all work given by all of my students.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
