This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very energetic and enthusiastic learners. I believe my enthusiastic learners need hand-on activities in order to become engaged and focused on the lessons.

My class is located in a low-income public school in the Bronx.

My class is filled with 25 vibrant, eager learners. My students are in need of some important materials that will assist them in their learning. "Motivating students to be (enthusiastically) receptive is one of the most important aspects of mathematics instruction and a critical aspect of the Common Core State Standards."

My Project

The crayons, markers, a flash card library, write and wipe pockets, game buzzers, practice cards, post it notes, and other materials I am requesting will benefit my students because they will become engaged and motivated to the math lessons. Math is known to be the subject that is not engaging for students. I want to prevent that and allow my students to become motivated. Hands on activities such as; whiteboards, plastic boards, erasable markers, math card, and crayons will motivate my students in math.

My students and I will be grateful if you support our project.

You will provide my students the opportunity to become hands-on while doing math. My student will be able to become motivated and wanting to do math problems.
