Help me give my students hands-on math manipulatives, math games, and math resources to engage students who are below and well below grade level in math.

My Project
After three years of being away from students due to the pandemic, it is so exciting to be back with students in the classroom. This year I've taken the role of math interventionist for our most novice mathematicians in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. The students in our school are predominantly students of color and identify as BIPoc. After completing initial assessments, I have a better gauge of where students are at in their mathematical practices. Over 60% of our mathematicians are below or well below grade level. As a result, there are so many students in need of meaningful and engaging math tools and curriculum to help them grow and year and a half or more in their mathematical practice.
This project will fund a number of math tools and resources to help engage novice mathematicians.
I have three third graders working on Kindergarten math skills, who will benefit significantly from the hands-on counters, number flashcards, math number journals, and visual skill-building whiteboards to teach number decomposition. Over half of my third graders and many fourth graders need to review addition and subtraction. The Giant Magnetic Regrouping chart will be a great resource for teacher modeling. Students in all grade levels who need a review of place value, an essential mathematic building block, will benefit from place value practice boards. Finally, with so many students needing to master multiplication from third to fifth grade, I added a number of games and resources that will help facilitate hands-on multiplication practice.
This project will benefit all 150 students that I serve. Thank you so much for giving to this project and making math learning a priority for students who have been the most significantly set back in their academics due to the pandemic.
