Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love how eager and determined my students are to learn, especially when it comes to math. They approach each lesson with enthusiasm, and it’s exciting to see them tackle new challenges with curiosity and perseverance. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many benefit from hands-on, visual, and interactive learning tools to help them grasp math concepts more effectively. The resources I’m requesting will directly support their learning needs. Blank white paper will allow us to make individualized copies of math worksheets and problem sets that cater to each student’s progress. Pencils are essential to ensuring that every student is fully equipped to participate in lessons and practice their math skills. A number line around the classroom will serve as a constant visual reference, reinforcing concepts like addition, subtraction, and place value for all students, especially visual learners. Lamination pouches will help us preserve important resources like math charts and reference materials, making them durable and easy to access throughout the year. Math posters will display key concepts, math facts, and problem-solving strategies that students can reference throughout the day, helping them feel more confident and engaged in lessons.

The goal of this project is to provide my students with the tools they need to feel prepared, confident, and engaged in their math learning.

These resources will create an interactive and visually rich environment that supports their understanding of essential math concepts, while also helping them build critical problem-solving and reasoning skills that will set them up for success in their academic future.
