This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many students suffer from math phobia. They find math uninteresting, impossible, and boring. This makes me sad because I find math to be just the opposite!
Math games and manipulatives make math fun and engaging.
First off, many students love competing! And even though students vary in skill level, most of the games I selected provide multiple entry points and solutions, allowing for everyone to succeed. Students also benefit from manipulatives like cubes and rulers that allow them to visualize problems more easily.
Math games and manipulatives will help my students make tremendous gains in their math skills. They will also boost my students' confidence and joy in math.
