This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a STEAM school that supports students learning in varied ways.

Having tools to enhance their learning will help students visually see the connection of numbers.

Students will be able to add and subtract with these tools and manipulate the numbers. With these materials, students will be able to come to the board and explain their thinking by showing their peers their thinking process.

In the Math part of STEAM, students have to show the mathematical practices when problem solving. These manipulatives will give them an opportunity to use mathematical tools to problem solve.
