My Students
My school is a Title I school, located in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, NY.
Our student population is culturally diverse with a fast growing ENL student population. A huge number of our student population are from low-income households and many are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom including living in temporary housing. Despite those challenges, our students come to school excited, eager to learn and interact with their classmates
My school is in need of supplies to replenish our math materials.
My class is a bridge self-contained class (k-2), with students on different spectrum of the learning curve and learning through different modalities. In my class, I have English speaking students as well as ENL's and non-verbal students. Hands-on math materials are a huge factor in teaching students in my class about math. Students can identify learning new math concepts through problem-solving and have the ability to manipulate concrete materials such as connecting cubes, counting bears, pop-it number sensory math manipulative, and magnetic building tiles.
My students and I would appreciate your help in obtaining this materials for our classroom.
