Students love learning math when they get to use manipulatives to help them visualize their learning. Last school year I had an awesome bunch of students that loved every opportunity they had to use their math manipulatives, and were generally always excited during our math lessons. I'd love to keep that momentum going with my new group of students this year and the base 10 manipulatives would be very helpful in achieving that goal.
Our first unit of the school year focuses on number sense and place value, so these base 10 blocks will be used even in the first week of school!
