This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These manipulatives will continue to enhance the Math skills of second and fourth-grade students. We are a Dual Language Immersion Program (DLI) where students are learning Math and Science in Spanish and, Language Arts and Social Studies in English. We are happy to be a real multicultural community with different backgrounds and families in the same school. These materials are expected to be used in small groups to reinforce main Math concepts in both grades. We believe that by using these manipulatives, students will get math standards and they could associate these Math fundamentals with the real context.
