This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to play in their learning centers. They do not have very many math center materials, though, and could really use more. It is better for everyone to be able to use the center activities! We are requesting Coogam Math Cubes, Make a Splash 120 Mat Floor Game, Base Ten Blocks for Math and more.

I want to give my students fun Math centers, so they can practice the skills they are learning in class.

Some of these skills include counting, and adding and subtracting using different strategies. They are currently learning a lot of base 10, but they don't have many materials to practice with. They do not often catch on to new skills without practice. Learning through fun is the best way to remember!

It would be so exciting to be able to provide these fun tools for my students to all be able to learn together.
