Math Manipulatives to Enhance the Learning!

Help me give my students an opportunity to enhance their learning by exploring the mathematical world right in front of them through the use of manipulatives.

My Project

They walk into my classroom every day ready to learn and excited to explore and discover what the new learning will be.

They come from hard-working families and are always ready to learn, explore and challenge themselves.

Our classroom is always filled with laughs, conversations, discussions, and acceptance. My students are caring and always looking out for each other.

These Math Manipulatives will continue to enhance the math-rich classroom that I strive to create for my students. All of these manipulatives have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school share and use our limited manipulatives resources just like these, and I have also asked them what type of resources they would enjoy playing with and also working with during math class. Students will be able to choose the most appropriate manipulatives, which will help them continue to enjoy independent math time.

With these new manipulatives, my students will be able to choose from a variety of manipulatives-tiles, dice, pattern blocks, linking cubes or base ten block- which will allow them to solve math problems independently at their own grade level and pace.

Students will also be able to choose manipulatives to explore math concepts that interest them. The best way to increase math ability is to practice more, become more comfortable and excited with math concepts, and these manipulatives will continue to help my students grow stronger in math. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in math concepts, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the math world.
