it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students develop number sense daily in math, and my young mathematicians need hands-on manipulatives to visualize and understand number relationships. Using counters allows students to effectively compose and decompose numbers while building their 1-to-1 number correspondence. Number lines and 10-frames provide additional opportunities for students to enhance their number fluency and understand the relationships between addition and subtraction. Hands-on math materials are essential for deepening students' understanding of number sense and boosting their math confidence. To build a strong math foundation, students need opportunities to engage with these resources. Such materials are crucial in the math classroom!
