This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Yes, it is true...the math students are learning today is COMPLETELY different than how we were taught. However, these new methods allow for students to develop number sense, an ability to solve problems through multiple methods, and most importantly building confidence in their math capabilities.
These manipulatives will help my mathematicians engage in the math content we are learning throughout the school year.
The materials funded through this project are required by the math curriculum we use to help students visualize and manipulate the numbers and problems they see presented to them.
We never say "easy" in our classroom because everything takes effort. Math is a subject that takes a lot of effort from my students, but they are putting in the work necessary to grow as mathematicians! Thank you for helping us continue to grow our brains!
