Math Manipulatives for Learning the Core

My Project

In room 13, we all have unique backgrounds based on our disabilities, cultures, economic backgrounds, and experiences. We use these backgrounds to understand the world around us, and this is very true for math.

Manipulatives help us to bridge the gap between unobtainable instruction and instruction that is relevant, engaging, and can be adapted to our unique backgrounds.

It helps us to put hands on activities to help us understand difficult math concepts. It makes learning fun and helps us to explain math to others who may not only understand our verbal abilities. It gives us a way to demonstrate that we have learned the concepts of the ore curriculum. It helps us to bridge the learning gap we have with out peers.
