My Students

I teach an outstanding group of 1st grade students. They have an excitement for learning. We are a Title I school in a small town. The students come from diverse, bilingual backgrounds and families that want the best for their kids.

My kids love to explore with math and language arts.

They enjoy hands-on and brain developing activities. The students need to be engaged to optimize learning. They take pride in their developed accomplishments.

My Project

Students learn best with hands on activities. Help give my students Power Pens for learning centers that are engaging and fun. Students need to work in small groups to work on specific skills. These skills are best taught in independent learning centers. Power Pens will be used for students to independently work on addition and subtraction skills. The pens offer immediate feedback. This helps me to know that they are getting the correct answers. Building a strong foundation and love for learning is so important at a young age. It helps students to be excited about being lifelong learners.
