My students are always busy. They like to be creative through interactive notebooks, singing math songs, and any type of technology they can get their hands on. However, we are unable to be really creative in the area of technology because it is not as readily available to us as we would like.
I teach 7th grade special education students in a rural setting school.
The students have a variety of learning abilities. The students are all unique in there on way and I have to teach in many different ways so they are able to understand the content.
My Project
My students love to use technology in any way possible and we use it in class as long it is an approved website. We do projects in class and with the Apple TV and Pad they would be able to share their ideas with the class as a whole. I think it is very important for my students to take ownership of their work/project and this will be a good way for the class as a whole to view what other students have done. They would be able to get ideas that could possibly inspire them. I know my SPED students would love to have access to share their projects this way. The new Pad and apple TV will be a great asset to my classroom to encourage creative learning as well as the use of technology.
This project will help my students because it will allow them to use technology, get their creative juices flowing, and present/share with the class as a whole.
I do not have a smart board in my classroom so we still have to present projects the old fashion way either on poster board or paper pencil. My students thirst for technology. The creativity that some of my SPED students could express by having the pad and Apple TV in the classroom could be the difference in how they feel about math!
