My Project
For the upcoming school year, I am working to transform my classroom into a dynamic math lab where students can actively explore concepts, collaborate with peers, and develop strong foundational skills that will support their success for years to come.
The goal of this project is to build confidence and proficiency in math through hands-on, engaging activities that make learning meaningful and fun.
Multiplication Tower of Math: This interactive tower offers a visual and tactile way for students to practice and master their multiplication facts. As students stack the tower pieces, they engage in self-correcting activities that reinforce fluency, number sense, and pattern recognition.
Mastering Math Dominoes: These aren’t your typical dominoes! Each set focuses on essential math concepts like fractions, addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Students will use them in small groups or math centers to strengthen problem-solving and reasoning skills in a game-based format that promotes collaboration and deeper understanding.
Bridge the Gap Math Practice Cards: These targeted, skill-based cards are designed to help students close learning gaps in a strategic and supportive way. I’ll use these during small-group instruction and intervention blocks. They’re perfect for differentiating instruction and ensuring that every learner progresses.
Multiplication Dry Erase Boards: These boards allow students to practice their facts over and over again without wasting paper. I will use them during fluency warm-ups, math games, and one-on-one check-ins to monitor progress and encourage immediate feedback—one of the most effective ways to build mastery.
Place Value Dry Erase Boards: These boards provide a clear, visual layout for students to practice building and decomposing numbers, comparing values, and performing multi-digit operations. They will be a key tool during whole-group lessons and independent practice.
Together, these materials will help create a math-rich classroom environment where learning is active, personalized, and fun.
