My Students

Students come to school excited to see their friends and they are eager to learn many new things. Our school year is off, to a great start!

As teachers, It's so important to teach and model for our students how to love, work, learn and live in a diverse world and also to be able to provide them with wonderful learning experiences.

We, as educators, work hard to make sure that each and every student feels safe, loved, important, and welcomed! My students go to school in a wonderful community! Being at school is the only positive that some of my students have each day.

Our school is a Title I school. That means that we have a majority of students coming from a low economic background. A lot of my students are not able to experience any form of technology at home. My students come to school with big smiles on their faces! I feel that school is the place to help them learn to become adults in the working field one day, but to also encourage their own dreaming and creativity.

My Project

These materials will help all of my students with their daily math fluency. This kit includes a lot of amazing learning tools that are beneficial to the students and as well as the teacher.

Along with the kit, there are several manipulatives included, that will aide in my students' learning and understanding of math.

Some of the materials that are included are counters, number cubes, hundred boards, color tiles, snap cubes, dice, base ten flats, and a teacher guide. When students get to participate in math and hands-on learning, they have a better understanding of what they are learning and are able to apply it to their daily and future lives.

As my students work with these manipulatives, they will be able to learn and incorporate strategies that help them solve math problems. My students have learned early, this year, that any dream job or future career plans that they might have, will always involve math!
